Anantara Ubud Bali Resort opening in October

Anantara Ubud Bali Resort will become the second Anantara property to open on the Indonesian island when it welcomes its first guests on October 1, 2024.

Neighboring the traditional hillside village of Banjar Puhu in the north of Ubud, the resort offers 85 contemporary, 570-square-foot suites and one- and two-bedrooms villas with infinity pools as well as branded residences, all cascading down a densely forested hill towards a mountain stream. Accommodations are decorated in natural tones and bare woods.

Culinary options at Anantara Ubud include:

  • a signature restaurant called Amerta, which serves local dishes celebrating Bali’s bounty prepared in a wood-fired oven;
  • Kirana, an eatery offering local fare and a nutritious breakfasts;
  • Sulang, a bar delivering misty valley views along with smart cocktails;
  • and The Lobby Lounge, a venue offering afternoon tea and all-day coffee backed by a panoramic view of Mount Agung.

In addition, the resort offers its version of the brand’s Designer Dining experience, giving guests the opportunity to host a private picnic lunch by a waterfall or a formal dinner in a private pavilion.

Anantara Ubud also offers a range of leisure facilities, including two heated swimming pools (adult-only and family), a yoga deck surrounded by jungle, and a spacious gym.  The youngest travelers will have their own space at the Kids’ Club.

Anantara Spa offers indigenous treatments and healing therapies alongside multi-day wellness experiences. It has four treatment rooms, one treatment suite, a hair salon, manicure and pedicure service, and a relaxation lounge.

The resort’s two meeting rooms cover nearly 2,000 square feet, and can accommodate 144 people theatre-style, 120 for cocktails and 72 banquet-style as well as a range of smaller group set-ups (boardroom, square, etc.).

When not exploring central Ubud’s eateries, fashion boutiques and art galleries, guests can take part in on-site arts and crafts workshops, hands-on cooking classes, as well as guided yoga and meditation.
