The Hoxton brand will make its Australian debut in 2027 with the opening of a property in the Cremorne suburb of Melbourne, Victoria.

Ennismore and property developer Alfasi Group announced the signing of The Hoxton in Melbourne as part of the Matchworks Precinct on August 28, 2024.

The hotel will feature 198 guestrooms in the brand’s classic categories, including Cosy, Roomy, and Biggy. It will celebrate its location through art, design, retail and eclectic programming, with interiors taking inspiration from the building’s history and creative local community and surroundings.

Amenities at the property will include three food and beverage outlets (an all-day dining destination, café, bar, and signature restaurant); The Apartment, the brand’s hybrid event spaces centered around a communal pantry, and a gym.

Cremorne, the Hoxton’s new neighborhood, is a melting pot for creativity and innovation, making it a natural fit for the brand. Dotted with Victorian terraces and repurposed warehouses, Cremorne is fast becoming home to some of the city’s best restaurants, wine bars and cafes. Positioned on the eastern border of Melbourne’s central business district, the hotel will have easy access to the city’s public transportation network, major arterials, and bike paths.
