DoubleTree by Hilton Malta opens on St. Paul’s Bay

DoubleTree by Hilton Malta opened this week, marking the brand’s debut on the Mediterranean island.

Located on St. Paul’s Bay in the seaside resort of Qawra, the 485-room beachfront hotel offers elegant guestrooms, exclusive dining experiences, multiple swimming pools and premier business meeting spaces.

DoubleTree by Hilton Malta is well situated for visitors who wish to explore Malta’s history and natural beauty. It provides easy access to the ancient city of Mdina, Valletta and the UNESCO-listed Megalithic Temples. In addition, the Bugibba Ancient Temple is located on the hotel grounds giving guests a unique glimpse into the island nation’s Neolithic era.

Highlights of the property include:

  • guestrooms designed to reflect the Mediterranean’s warmth and vitality, many with private balconies and views of St. Paul’s Bay;
  • multiple drink and dining venues, including The Azure Restaurant and Terrace (international cuisine), Carvv Grill and Enoteca (fresh local and international meats, vegetarian and vegan-friendly options, comprehensive wine selection), Juniper Lounge Bar, Ombré Café Bistro, and Limonata swim-up pool bar;
  • a main pool area featuring two seasonal outdoor pools and a sundeck area overlooking St. Paul’s Bay;
  • a private beach club (opening 2025) that features views of St. Paul’s islands along with two infinity pools and direct beach access;
  • and the Myoka Spa (opening June 2024), which also features an indoor pool with jet seats, a sauna, a hot tub, and a relaxation area.

DoubleTree by Hilton Malta also offers more than 21,500 square feet of meeting and event space which can accommodate up to 800 guests. Spaces include 16 meeting rooms and an auditorium, all equipped with the latest in audio-visual technology, as well as a 10,450-square-foot ballroom for larger events.
