Fairmont Golden Prague is now welcoming guests.
“The opening of Fairmont Golden Prague is a significant milestone for Fairmont as we continue to grow the brand’s presence in Europe,” said Omer Acar, CEO, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts. “Prague is a city with an incredible story to tell, and we are honored to play a part in preserving its great heritage. Blending Fairmont’s celebratory spirit with the property’s architectural grandeur will bring a captivating new luxury hotel experience to the Czech capital, and its innovative restaurant concepts – an exciting new offering to the city’s vibrant culinary scene.”

Located on Pařížská Boulevard in the historic UNESCO World Heritage Centre Old Town of the Czech Republic’s capital city, the property is housed in a landmark circa 1974 building originally designed by Czech architect Karel Filsak in the Brutalist style. Architect Marek Tichý helmed the multi-million euro renovation of the building, which honored its original design and preserved internal arts and crafts elements, including blown glass chandeliers, gilded light fixtures and ornate ash wood posts.
Fairmont Golden Prague features 320 guestrooms, suites and serviced residences, blending modernist aesthetics with warm tones of rich dark wood contrasted against lighter elements.
The property also has six drink and dine venues, including:
- Zlata Praha, a rooftop fine dining experience offering panoramic views of Prague;
- Golden Eye, a sleek, 1970s inspired space serving modern Asian cuisine;
- Coocoo’s Nest, a lobby level social hub named after the Academy Award-winning film from Czech-American Milos Forman – One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest – offering morning coffee, light meals and evening cocktails;
- and Greenhouse, the hotel’s all-day venue where guests can enjoy Czech pilsner, fine wines, and snacks prepared on the restaurant’s Josper grill along with views of the riverbank and the Prague Castle.
Reflecting the owners’ passion for Czech art and film, Fairmont Golden Prague is home to one of the country’s most extensive art collections, which showcases pieces from the 1960s and 1970s as well as contemporary works. Highlights include chandeliers by René Roubíček that evoke thistle flowers; Miroslav Hejný’s sculpted wooden colonnades; and Čestmír Kafka’s gilded ceiling sculptures.
In addition, the hotel offers a range of health and wellness experiences. Its signature 15,000+-square-foot Fairmont Spa & Wellness center has five treatment suites, three saunas, a steam bath, a tranquil garden, and a world-class fitness studio. Fairmont Golden Prague also has the city’s only indoor/outdoor L-shaped pool.
Meeting and event spaces include a 6,458-square-foot column-free ballroom and three exclusive C-Suite rooftop boardrooms, all offering private terraces, the latest audio-visual equipment and customized catering.
