Four Seasons Resort Mallorca at Formentor is now fully reopened with new dining, wellness, and recreational experiences.

Originally opened as Hotel Formentor in 1929, the luxury resort is set in 100 acres of forested land by the water within a private estate that also features a vineyard. It is minutes from the legendary lighthouse at the tip of the Cap de Formentor peninsula and a 60-minute drive from Palma de Mallorca airport.

Partially opened in summer 2024, the resort has undergone a significant renovation. One of the major enhancements at the property is the integration of modern technology throughout the resort while strictly adhering to Four Seasons sustainability standards.

Four Seasons Resort Mallorca at Formentor offers:

  • 110 guestrooms and suites, each with a private terrace overlooking the sea – some featuring private pools – and bright interiors designed by Gilles & Boissier;
  • multiple restaurants and bars, including Mel (farm-fresh Mediterranean dishes from breakfast through dinner), Quiose (informal open-air kitchen), Cercle (bar at the heart of the hotel), Xiringuito (pop-up beach bar), Shima (Nikkei-style restaurant new this year), and Crocant (artisanal ice cream parlor);
  • an open-air cinema on the resort’s iconic stairway;
  • and nearly 6,000 square feet of indoor/outdoor event space across a sunlit ballroom and two meeting rooms.

This spring also brings the opening of the property’s new luxury spa. The wellness sanctuary has seven treatment rooms designed for rejuvenation and self-connection. Its facilities include a vitality pool, a sauna, a steam room, experience showers, drink station, and relaxation room. Four Seasons Resort Mallorca at Formentor also has multiple swimming pools, a tennis court, a state-of-the-art gym, open-air yoga spaces, and numerous trails and hiking routes throughout the estate.

The resort has curated exclusive experiences that allow guests to explore the surroundings, including a range of water and underwater adventures just steps from the beach. Activities include snorkeling, non-motorized water sports, and boat excursions to Mallorca’s sea caves and remote beaches.
