IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed an agreement with Global Hotels & Resorts (GHR) that will see its first Vignette Collection property in France open in 2026.

The property will be located in the resort town of Théoule-sur-Mer in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region of southeastern France. Set across two separate buildings – the existing Tiara Miramar and Tiara Yaktsa hotels – it will have on-site meeting and event spaces, several swimming pools, a gym, a spa, a stylish bar and Michelin-starred dining. It will also feature walking trails, water sports, and access to the area’s iconic red rock beaches.

The property adds to an existing European presence of 10 open hotels, including Verno House Budapest, Vignette Collection and The Halyard Liverpool, Vignette Collection, and a global portfolio of more than 50 signed and pipeline hotels.

Willemijn Geels, vice-president, Development, Europe, IHG Hotels & Resorts, said: “The signing of the first Vignette Collection in France aligns perfectly with our luxury and lifestyle growth plans across Europe, as we focus on accelerating the expansion of new brands across priority markets, including France, whilst establishing one-of-a-kind properties in sought-after urban and resort locations.

“I’m excited to be working alongside our long-standing partners at GHR to bring the first Vignette Collection to this market, and to strengthen our luxury and lifestyle offering along the Côte d’Azur. Together with GHR, we have seen great success wit our existing properties – InterContinental Lisbon and Crowne Plaza Porto – and are now delighted to bring forward a unique hotel in a prestigious and internationally recognized location.”

Sheikh Mohammed Youssef El Khereiji, founder of Global Hotels & Resorts, said: “We are proud to partner once again with IHG Hotels & Resorts to bring a Vignette Collection property to France, marking an exciting new chapter for our Tiara Miramar and Tiara Yaktsa hotels… The French Riviera, with its timeless appeal and global recognition as a luxury destination, was the perfect choice for this venture.”
