InterContinental Indianapolis has opened. The 170-key hotel is the first luxury property to open in Indiana’s state capital in two decades.

Located in Indianapolis’ downtown at 17 West Market Street, InterContinental Indianapolis is steps from Monument Circle and the Indiana State Capital. The property is housed in the historic 100-year-old Illinois Building, which was listed as one of Indiana’s 10 most endangered landmarks before it was purchased by Keystone Group, a locally-based owner and developer.

Keystone Group substantially completed the $120 million restoration of the building in 2024. The hotel began welcoming guests on February 20, 2025.

  • bespoke Murano chandeliers and a hand-blown glass chandelier that suspends three stories from the second-floor lobby;
  • an art program that exclusively features pieces throughout the hotel that were commissioned by artists with strong Indiana ties;
  • Italian marble located throughout the public spaces;
  • guestroom bathrooms with walk-in showers and double vanities;
  • soaking tubs in select suites;
  • food and beverage offerings overseen by award-winning Indiana Chef Craig Baker;
  • Astrea Rooftop Bar, the city’s first rooftop bar overlooking Monument Circle;
  • Serliana, an all-day restaurant on the second floor, servings a menu of elevated classics (Indian Pork Tenderloin Sandwich, Homemade Biscuit Sandwich, etc.)
  • and a 24-hour fitness center with state-of-the-art equipment including Peloton Bikes and Row, free weights and more.

InterContinental Indianapolis also offers more than 5,000 square feet of meeting and event space including a 2,500-square-foot ballroom.
