Khao Lok Marriott Beach Resort & Spa has opened, marking Marriott’s debut on one of Thailand’s most beautiful beachfront destinations.

Situated on a prime location on the country’s southwest coast, the property is just steps from the unspoiled Bang-Lut Beach and the Andaman Sea.

P49 Design helmed the creation of the resort, which is an elegant, low-rise retreat featuring a modern design concept based on the local coastal heritage and the region’s sea-faring trade.

Highlights of Khao Lok Marriott Beach Resort & Spa include:

• The Greatroom, Marriott’s take on a traditional lobby, which is decorated with diverse textures, regional arts and crafts, warm hues, and traditional motifs;
• 283 guestrooms, suites and villas, ranging from nearly 540 square feet to just over 1,330 square feet, and equipped with private balconies, naturally-lit interiors, refreshing bathrooms and premium amenities;
• seven restaurants and bars (Goji Kitchen + Bar, Thai Curry Sala, Lido Beach Restaurant & Lounge, Panasia Grill, Thai Baking Company, etc.);
• Quan Spa with six treatment rooms, featuring the signature Jade Stone therapy,
• 24/7 fitness center and bicycles;
• and a choice of pools, a water playground and kid’s club.

The property also has a selection of meeting and event spaces, including the 5,715-square-foot Andaman Grand Ballroom, an intimate boardroom, and five flexible meeting rooms. Outdoor event spaces include the property’s beach and its lawn.
