Hilton announces four new properties in Lyon

Hilton today announced the signing of four new hotels in Lyon, France, following franchise agreements with Arteloge.

These signings marks the launch of the Spark by Hilton premium economy brand in France, as well as the city’s second DoubleTree by Hilton hotel. Spark by Hilton Lyon Ouest and Spark by Hilton Lyon Park Saone are set to open in late 2025, with Spark by Hilton Lyon Eurexpo set the join the hospitality company’s portfolio in the summer of 2026. DoubleTree by Hilton Lyon Plage is scheduled to welcome guests in 2028. The four hotels will add a combined 655 rooms to the city’s inventory.

The 102-room Spark by Hilton Lyon Ouest and 100-room Spark by Hilton Lyon Park Saone will both be located close to the city’s business district and near the banks of the Saône River in the 9th arrondissement of Lyon.

Spark by Hilton Lyon Eurexpo will be located in close proximity to Eurexpo Lyon, which is the largest exhibition and convention center outside of  Paris, as well as being conveniently near Lyon airports and the motorways.

All three properties will feature the brand’s signature amenities, including:

  • Guestrooms with streamlined furniture, an open closet, multi-purpose work surface, and bright bathroom stocked with Zero% bathroom products;
  • bright public spaces with multi-functional seating, offering options for working and socializing;
  • a signature Hydration Cart featuring complimentary still and sparkling water as well as fresh fruit;
  • and a 24-hour retail market.

The DoubleTree by Hilton Lyon Plage will offer 118 guestrooms, alongside 56 extended-stay accommodations. Facilities will include a restaurant, a bar, and 12 fully-equipped conference rooms. It will also be situated along the banks of the Saône River and is close to key transport link. The property will be adjacent to one of the largest spa facilities in France.
