Sindalah, the luxury island destination in NEOM, has welcomed its first wave of invited guests, marking the official opening of the island.
Sindalah is located in the Red Sea, five kilometers off the NEOM coastline in northwest Saudi Arabia. Spread over 840,000 square meters, the island was designed by yachting architecture firm Luca Dini. It is expected to welcome up to 2,300 guests per day by 2028, and will generate approximately 3,500 jobs.
Highlights of the island include:
- The Sindalah Marina & Yacht Club, which offers 86 state-of-the-art berths, additional offshore buoys for super yachts, and a full suite of yacht management services and shore amenities;
- The Village and Promenade, social and entertainment zones that will be home to 38 culinary offerings backed by world-renowned chefs, daytime eateries, late-night venues and 36 luxury retail outlets;
- The Beach Club, featuring poolside lounging by day and entertainment experiences at night;
- a 6,474-yard, par 70 golf course with 18 teeing points and two unique nine-hole experiences;
- and a range of luxury accommodation options that will offer 440 rooms and 88 villas, as well as 218 luxury serviced apartments.

Creating Sindalah took two years, and required a 30,000-strong workforce across four local contracting partners and up to 60 subcontractors. It is positioned 17 hours by sea from key Mediterranean destinations.
NEOM is a region in northwest Saudi Arabia on the Red Sea. It will include hyperconnected, cognitive cities, ports and enterprise zones, research centers, sports and entertainment venues, and tourist destinations.
