Novotel Mexico City Toreo, the latest flagship property for the Novotel brand, is now open.

The 168-key property, which showcases the brand’s new design vision, is in Naucalpan de Juárez, near one of the city’s main business, shopping and tourist hubs.

“We are very excited to open the third Novotel in Mexico and the first in North and Central America with the brand’s new innovative design,” said Napoleon Flores, the hotel’s general manager. “The property is a true reflection of the location inspired by the lively neighbourhood and a modern aesthetic.”

Earlier in the year, Novotel selected four international designers to reimagine new design concepts for the brand and bring them to life at various Novotel locations around the globe. The Sundukovy Sisters, one of the chosen international design studios, led the creative design process for Novotel Mexico City Toreo’s suites, delivering a contemporary style that blends business with pleasure and well-being with unique co-living spaces.

Idea Asociados, a sustainable architectural firm in Mexico, designed the interiors for all other areas of the hotel. Inspired by the property’s urban surroundings, they created a lively, playful look with a contemporary feel.

Novotel Mexico City Toreo’s features:

  • 116 superior rooms, 20 executive rooms, 20 superior suites and 12 master suites, all with playful furniture, contemporary colour palette and European-inspired furnishings;
  • Heliana, a restaurant showcasing Mediterranean flavours with Mexican touches in a space with an open concept kitchen;
  • Socio Bar, a relaxing lounge serving drinks and small bites throughout the day;
  • and more than 3,600 square feet of meeting and events space as well as three business lounge-style meeting rooms with themed decor that are suitable for informal meetings.

“Novotel Mexico City Toreo’s arrival depicts a new era of design for the Novotel brand that provides owners and franchisee partners with a flexible, non-standardized design model that can be tailored to the unique character of the destination in mind,” explained Mark Purcell, senior vice-president of development, Accor North & Central America. “Mexico is a thriving market with immense growth opportunities for Accor. This property is just one of the many exciting Accor developments in the pipeline, with another 10 new properties, ranging from economy to lifestyle and luxury, scheduled to open in Mexico within the next few years.”
