The Sheraton Grand Nashville Downtown has completed a comprehensive multi-million dollar renovation that included upgrades to all meeting and event venues, a redesign of all guestrooms and suites, and the addition of new communal spaces and f&b experiences.
“The Sheraton Grand Nashville Downtown is known for top-tier business, group, and leisure travel experiences and this renovation marks our commitment to continuously meeting the evolving needs of today’s traveler,” said Scott Broder, president of hospitality at Dreamscape Companies, which owns the property along with Centerbridge Partners. “The completion of this project reinforces the evolution of the Sheraton brand and symbolizes our forward-looking vision for the hotel.”
Highlights of the renovation of the hotel, which is managed by Aimbridge Hospitality, include:
- The Community Table (shown top of post): A signature element of the new Sheraton brand vision, this large crafted table located behind the grand staircase is the focal point of the reimagined lobby. A place for guests to “work, sip, savor and find inspiration,” it features outlets, built-in lighting and easily-accessed charging ports for a variety of devices.
- &More by Sheraton: Located in the lobby, this bar/coffee bar/marketplace is an alternative to the traditional three-meal restaurant.
- Two state-of-the-art karaoke studios: Named for Nashville icons Johnny Cash and Dolly Parton, the studios feature retro-inspired color palettes, thoughtful light fixtures and textured fabrics alongside top-tier audio technology, plush seating and tables.
- Soundproof booths: Strategically placed around the lobby, these booths can be used for connecting privately with friends, family or colleagues from afar.
- The Studios: Three flexible and easily accessible spaces on the hotel’s second level available to book on-demand.
- Design enhancements to The Library Restaurant & Lounge, Sheraton Grand Nashville’s lobby level, signature full-service restaurant.
- Sora Kitchen: Led by local chef Art Insyxiengmay and located in the hotel’s 28th floor Skye Lounge, this is Nashville’s newest and highest sushi experience.
- Event Space: Nearly all of the hotel’s 29,000 square feet of event space – across 13 spaces – was upgraded with fresh wall coverings, lighting and carpets.
In addition, Sheraton Grand Nashville’s 494 guestrooms and suites were made over. The residentially-inspired design and decor features soft, earth tones with complementary pops of green and gold and destination-centric artwork. Accommodations have also been enhanced with amenities for productivity including stone-top desks with built-in power and upgraded lighting. The reimagine of the bathrooms includes fresh, modern walk-in glass showers, lighted mirrors, and Gilchrist & Soames bath products.
The transformation of Sheraton Grand Nashville Downtown is part of a global project currently being undertaken by Sheraton Hotels & Resorts to bring all of its properties in line with the new vision for the brand, which was first unveiled at the NYU Hospitality Conference in 2018.
