The Leading Hotels of the World (LHW) is heading into Spring 2025 with ten new properties in its portfolio.

The new members of the Leading Hotels of the World portfolio are:
The Strand, Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands (Opened November 2024) | Overlooking the shores of Cooper Jack Bay, The Strand features one-of-a-kind beachfront villas and secluded residences. Design elements include large terraces and hand-crafted infinity pools.
Hotel AWA, Puerto Varas, Chile (shown top of post) | Perched above the banks of Lake Llanquihue, Hotel AWA is a gateway to northern Chilean Patagonia. The family-owned retreat offers 25 rooms and suites with views of the Osorno Volcano. AWA Restaurant serves a refined farm-to-table experience. The Wellness Spa features holistic treatments, a sauna, steam room, semi-Olympic pool, and Jacuzzi.
Beach Club at The Boca Raton, Boca Raton, USA (Opened January 2025) | Set on a half-mile stretch of private beach along the Atlantic Ocean, this oceanfront property offers 221 renovated guestrooms and suites, an array of restaurants, a cocktail lounge and café, a fitness facility, and an oceanside event space. Amenities include three pools, the exclusive Cabana Club by Vilebrequin, cabanas with full bathrooms and showers, a game loft for teens, a fitness club with daily classes, watersports (including banana boats and surf lessons), and exclusive access to all of the amenities of The Boca Raton Club, accessible by a fleet of water taxis.
Van Oys Maastricht Retreat, Maastricht, Netherlands (Opening March 2025) | Imbued with old-world grandeur and contemporary luxury, this 81-room property is focused on the core values of the Cittaslow philosophy, where nature and slow living meet modernity. It is located on the banks of the Maas River in the Limburg Hills, close to the city of Maastricht. Amenities include Restaurant Maes, which serves “cuisine du terroir,” fine dining restaurant Remise, the Bar César, and the Nature Spa & Gym. The property’s culinary studio offers a chef’s table master class with acclaimed Michelin-star talent.
Capo d’Orso Thalasso and Spa, Palau, Italy | This 80-room hotel is located at the foot of the Bear Rock monument—a mystical formation nestled between the National Park of La Maddalena Archipelago, Corsica, and Costa Smeralda. It offers Sardinian hospitality in every detail, from fine dining experiences to exclusive suites with granite stones and handcrafted pieces by local artisan. Other facilities include the Thalasso & Spa, a private marina, and a nine-hole Pitch & Putt golf course with ocean views.
Patria Palace, Lecce, Italy (Refurbished 2024) | The building housing the 42-room hotel was formerly a noble residence designed by the famous architect Mauro Manieri in the 18th century, the palace became the city’s first “locanda” and later Puglia’s first five-star hotel. It is now equipped with a rooftop restaurant and bar, with a new spa set to open this year.
Villars Palace, Villars-sur-Ollon, Switzerland | Located in the heart of the Swiss Alps, Villars Palace is a year-round destination, with world-class snow activities in the winter and hiking or biking trails in the summer. It has 109 rooms and suites, and the KAEA Villars Alpine Spa, complete with an outdoor pool, a state-of-the-art fitness center, sauna, hammam, and a variety of treatments. The hotel’s drink and dining options include its signature restaurant Le 1913, which is helmed by Chef Christian Bertogna and Bar du Palace.
Grantley Hall, Ripon, England | Nestled on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, this 17th-century estate features 47 rooms and suites, five dining options, three bars, and award-winning spa and wellness facilities. Fine dining highlights include Michelin-starred dining at Shaun Rankin at Grantley Hall, Asian-fusion cuisine at Bar & Restaurant EightyEight, and modern British elegance at Fletchers Restaurant.
Chiemgauhof Lakeside Retreat, Übersee, Germany (Opened February 2025) | Built on one of the Bavarian lake’s most well-known properties by renowned architect Matteo Thun, this property has 28 suites that blend modern comfort with touches of local craftsmanship. Central to the Chiemgauhof experience are the spaces that invite guests to connect with the lake, mountains, and nature. In the hotel restaurant, diners enjoy a culinary journey inspired by regional flavors and fused with international cuisine.
Anthology of Athens, Athens, Greece (Opened Fall 2024) | Showcasing mid-century modern design surrounded by the grace of Antiquity, this 18-room hotel embraces biophilic design with a cascading, vertical, vibrant patio and rooftop gardens. Fresh, modern-Greek cuisine is served at the Botany restaurant and the Balaneion Spa offers a steam room and relaxing area as well as host of treatments. Cultural immersion, wellness and sustainability combine to create a holistic experience.
