Anantara resorts featured in third season of The White Lotus

Three Anantara resorts in Thailand were filming locations for the new season of the HBO® Original series The White Lotus, which is streaming now.

The third installment of the Emmy®-winning series created by Mike White used Anantara Lawana Koh Samui Resort, Anantara Mai Khao Phuket Villas, and Anantara Bophut Koh Samui Resort as key settings for the fictional resort, The White Lotus Thailand.

Locations within Anantara Bophut Koh Samui Resort featured in the series include its signature Thai-style lobby, security station and tree-lined resort entrance (shown top of post), employee parking lot and resort jewelry store. The Singing Bird Lounge, the treehouse-style bar nestled within the branches of a 120-year-old tree at Anantara Lawana Koh Samui Resort, is the setting for several key scenes. And facilities at Anantara Mai Khao Phuket Villas were used for The White Lotus Thailand’s Wellness Sanctuary, Spa, and Belinda’s room.

Anantara Bophut Koh Samui Resort is set on Bophut Beach. Occupying a site that was once a coconut plantation, the resort has 106 guestrooms, suites and beachfront pool suites. Its spa area, which was designed by award-winning architect Bill Bensley, is spread over more than 32,200 square feet of lotus ponds and gardens and features standalone treatment suites. Its restaurants – Guilty and Thin Tai – serve South American and Thai / International menus, respectively. It also has three event rooms, with the largest space having a maximum capacity of 200 people.

Situated on a peaceful stretch of private beach in Chaweng, Anantara Lawana Koh Samui Resort blends modern luxury with Samui’s rich cultural history. The luxury resort offers 122 luxurious guestrooms and villas, the only treetop restaurant in Koh Samui (Tree Tops Signature Dining), four beachfront dining venues, and a renovated beachfront and infinity pool. Its meeting facilities can accommodate groups of up to 220 delegates.

Anantara Mai Khao Phuket Villas is located along the untouched shores of Mai Khao Beach in Phuket, and is renowned for its seclusion and luxury. Only 15 minutes from Phuket International Airport, it has 83 pool villas, 30 pavilions and 70 suites. It is also home to two award-winning restaurants – Tree House and the beachside Sea. Fire. Salt. – and an Anantara Spa. Its two event spaces have a maximum capacity of 100 people.

Each of the featured Anantara resorts is currently offering several “Lotus” experiences and packages.

Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui and the Mandarin Oriental Bangkok are also featured in the series.
