Tivoli Palazzo Gaddi Firenze Hotel opened this week, marking the brand’s arrival in the Tuscan city.
Housed in a luxury, 16th century palace located in the historical city center, the five-star property underwent a complete, two-year-long renovation before reopening under the Tivoli banner.
Originally comprised of two historical buildings belonging to two aristocratic Florentine families (the Gaddis and the Arrighettis), Tivoli Palazzo Gaddi features typical Florentine architecture and unique, historical treasures such as frescoed rooms, artists’ paintings and art objects, many dating back to the 16th century. The renovation was helmed by interior designers Patrizia Quartero and Guy Oliver, who enlisted the assistance of specialized restorers and local artisans in order to preserve the character and Renaissance history of the buildings.
