Caesars Entertainment Corporation has announced plans to open Caesars Republic Scottsdale, its first non-gaming hotel in the United States. The move is part of the casino-entertainment company’s plan to expand its brands and loyalty network through its licensing strategy.

Caesars Republic Scottsdale will be located adjacent to the Arizona region’s premier luxury retail destination, Scottsdale Fashion Square. Ground-breaking for the project is slated to take place in the second half of 2019.

The four-star property will be developed by HCW Development and operated by Aimbridge Hospitality. Caesars Entertainment will license its brand, advise on design elements and integrate its loyalty network, Total Rewards.

“Caesars Republic Scottsdale represents the introduction of a new world-class brand and further progress on our strategy to expand our non-gaming business into premier destinations,” said Mark Frissora, Caesars Entertainment’s president and chief executive officer. “This project will be our first non-gaming asset in the United States and demonstrates the global strength of the Caesars brand. We look forward to partnering with HCW Development and Aimbridge Hospitality to create a world-class experience in one of the nation’s most desirable communities.”

The 266-key property will be located in a modern 11-storey glass building to be developed at the intersection of North Goldwater and East Highland Avenue.

Its first floor will be home to a bar, a signature restaurant and an outdoor patio offering views of Camelback Mountain. Accommodations will include a mixture of kings, double queens, and one- and two-bedroom suites as well as a bridal suite and five luxury entertainment suites on its 11th floor.

Indoor meeting and event space on the hotel’s second floor includes five breakout rooms that can accommodate 40 to 200 people, and an executive board room with a permanent, 16-seat table.

The property will also have a 7,000-square-foot, column-free ballroom with 34-foot sliding glass doors that will open to the adjacent lawn (capacity: 600). The ballroom will divide into four sections and accommodate banquets of up to 500 people. It will feature a state-of-the-art AV system and customizable LED lighting.

The property will also have the only rooftop pool in Scottsdale. Located on the seventh floor and offering spectacular views of Camelback Mountain, the pool and bar area will be available for private events.

“We are very excited to work alongside our new partners to introduce the Caesars Republic brand to the world,” said Richard Huffman, CEO and president of HCW Development. “Scottsdale is a vibrant community and we are confident that this high-end facility will provide a truly unique and dynamic experience to both locals and guests travelling from afar.”

Caesars Entertainment says the Caesars Republic brand was designed exclusively for non-gaming and will offer a new kind of lifestyle hotel experience.
