A 513-key dual-branded Marriott property has opened in Yinchuan, the capital of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region in northwest China.

Invested and established by Ningxia Genyuan Real Estate Development Co. Ltd., the JW Marriott Hotel Yinchuan and Courtyard by Mariott Yinchuan are housed in an “architectural masterpiece depicting a grand sailing ship.”

Located in the cultural center of Yinchuan, the dual-branded Marriott property is adjacent to Yinchuan International Convention and Exhibition Center, the Ningxia Museum and Ningxia Grand Theater. It is a 40-minute drive from Yinchuan Hedong International Airport.

Yinchuan and the areas surrounding it are recognized as an “oasis in the hinterland, a historical and distinctive destination surrounded by deserts and the Helan Mountains. Local attractions include the Sand Lake, Shapotou Scenic Spot and Zhenbeibu Western Film City.

The JW Marriott Hotel Yinchuan offers 247 guestrooms and 32 suites featuring floor-to-ceiling windows with dramatic views of the Yinchuan skyline. All rooms are equipped with the latest in-room technology and modern amenities, including a 55-inch LCD TV and capsule coffee machine.

The property’s meeting and event space is anchored by the 15,070-square-foot, pillar-free JW Grand Ballroom (shown at top of post), which is equipped with a 970-square-foot LED screen. It can accommodate up to 1,300 guests and divides into four spaces. For smaller events, the 5,382-square-foot JW Ballroom is equipped with a 540-square-foot LED screen and can be repurposed as three independent multifunctional ballrooms. In addition, the property has 10 more meeting rooms of varying sizes.

Dining options at the JW Marriott Hotel Yinchuan are:

• Ning Xin Ge, a signature restaurant specializing in Cantonese cuisine and local specialties and offering a live cooking experience;
• JW Kitchen, an all-day dining restaurant serving international dishes and connected to an outdoor garden that is ideal for hosting beer festivals, barbecues and music showcases;
• Executive Lounge, a space to relax over snacks and drinks, with a view of the city skyline;
• and The Lobby Bar.

The JW Marriott also features a 24-hour fitness center and an indoor heated swimming pool.

Courtyard by Marriott Yinchuan features 234 guestrooms, equipped with flexible work areas, high-speed Internet and high-definition televisions. Its f&b options include The Pavilion, which offers a wide variety of cuisines from an international buffet to an à la carte menu, and the Lobby Lounge. Marriott Bonvoy Elite members can also enjoy the amenities at the Elite Club along with a 24-hour gym.
