The Events Industry Council (EIC) has opened applications for its IMEX America Hosted Buyer Program.

The 2021 edition of IMEX America is taking place November 9-11, 2021, at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada. The 2020 edition of the show was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting travel restrictions.

“After more than a year away from IMEX we are excited to open our hosted buyer program,” says Amy Calvert, chief executive officer, EIC. “We have seen an increased focus on personal development and learning over the past year, so we have created exclusive education sessions for our hosted buyers which will qualify for CMP clock hours. It has been a difficult year for the entire industry, and we are certainly looking forward to attending the show and rekindling with our colleagues and forming new relationships.”

In addition to the exclusive content and sessions, networking opportunities and full access to IMEX America, successful applicants to EIC’s hosted buyer program will receive:

  • Complimentary flights (from within the US);
  • complimentary accommodation;
  • complimentary support services before, during and after the event;
  • and access to a range of exclusive sessions which qualify for Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) continuing education clock hours

IMEX America 2021 is expected to attract more than 3,500 exhibitors including destinations, venues and suppliers from 155 countries. In addition, there will be more than 180 education sessions focused on the IMEX America show themes – nature, event tech, wellbeing, live and experiential, and CSR and sustainability.
