Four Seasons Resort and Private Residences Puerto Rico is expected to open in late 2025, marking the luxury brand’s entry into Puerto Rico and a continuation of its expansion in the Caribbean.

Four Seasons and Paulson Puerto Rico announced on December 12, 2024, the plan for the luxury hospitality company to assume management of a resort and residences in Bahia Beach, Rio Grande.

The property, which is nestled within 483 acres along Bahai Beach, will have its interiors renovated before reopening under the Four Seasons flag.

“As one of the most sought-after travel destinations in the Caribbean, Puerto Rico is the perfect location to bring legendary Four Seasons service and experiences to locals, visitors and residents alike,” says Bart Carnahan, president, Global Business Development, Portfolio Management and Residential, Four Seasons. “We are honored that our partners Paulson Puerto Rico have chosen Four Seasons to usher such an exquisite beachfront property into its next chapter, introducing a new luxury lifestyle offering on the island.”

Four Seasons Resort and Private Residences Puerto Rico will offer 139 reimagined guestrooms and suites and 85 private residences, with additional existing units that will join the residential portfolio upon the property’s reopening.

Amenities and activities available to guests and residents will include:

  • access to 3.2 kilometers of white sand beaches;
  • hiking trails;
  • multiple pools;
  • tennis courts;
  • an 18-hole golf course;
  • spa and fitness facilities;
  • a variety of culinary outlets including a lobby lounge and bar, poolside grill, specialty restaurant, and a new oceanside dining offering;
  • and meeting and event spaces.

The reimagination of the property’s interiors is being overseen by the design firm Meyer Davis. In addition to renovated guestrooms and residences, the resort will have its arrival experience and lobby revamped; its pools reconfigured to provide unobstructed views of the ocean, along with new cabanas; and a steam room, sauna and new experiences added to the spa facilities.
