Hyatt Regency brand debuts in Kenya

Hyatt Hotels Corporation today announced the official opening of Hyatt Regency Nairobi Westlands, marking the brand’s debut in Kenya.

Located in Nairobi’s business hub, the 219-key property is close to the Nairobi National Museum, Karura Forest, and Nairobi National Park as well as shopping and restaurants at SARIT shopping center and Westgate Mall.

Hyatt Regency Nairobi Westlands offers 147 guestrooms and suites and 72 apartments. The bright, spacious rooms are equipped with a 65″ flat-screen smart TV, high-speed Wi-Fi, deluxe bath amenities. in-room coffee maker and tea station, a minifridge, and workspace.

The property also features three dining and drink venues. Located on the west side of the building, District 6 Bar delivers sunset views from its terrace along with music, an extensive selection of cocktails and beverages, and a menu with international and local offerings. The hotel’s all-day dining restaurant, E.A.T., offers a dishes with African, Asian and Mediterranean culinary influences. And The Atrium serves coffee, tea and a casual café menu.

Other amenities at Hyatt Regency Nairobi Westlands, include:

  • a 2,906-square-foot fitness center;
  • 1,506-square-foot Aerobic Studio that hosts a variety of trainer-led fitness classes;
  • and a 1,044-square-foot (97-square-meter) indoor pool, which is located on the seventh floor and includes open wall sections that allow sunshine in and offer views of the city.

Additionally, Hyatt Regency Nairobi Westlands has more than 21,520 square feet of meeting and event space, including a ballroom on its top floor that is one of the largest in East Africa, and 10 distinct meeting rooms with audio-visual equipment and workstations.
