IMEX has revealed details of its revamped education tracks, debuting at IMEX Frankfurt, May 20-22.
“At IMEX we don’t stand still – we refresh the show every year and I can guarantee this latest iteration of our extensive education program will be different to what people have experienced before,” said Tahira Endean, head of programming, IMEX. “We tackle new and often challenging topics – grief, mental health and climate anxiety to name a few – reflecting the changed (and I’d say challenging!) times we live in.
“When we designed the learning program, we wanted to ensure it adds to the business value and insights event professionals can already expect from the show. The benefit here is two-fold – the line-up has been shaped to respond to today’s skillset needs as well as give planners ideas of topics, formats and speakers they can embed across their own events.”
The 2025 editions of IMEX Frankfurt and IMEX America will feature nine education tracks – seven redeveloped and two brand new (Design Matters and Leadership Culture). The tracks are:
Event Logistics – the ABCs of logistics from accommodation, negotiating, budgeting, contracting and more
Experiential Event Design – from neuro-inclusion to sober-curious events, this track showcases how innovative design can create transformational experiences
Impact – this track embodies the renewed IMEX Talking Point – Impact 2.0 – and delves into Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices, Net Zero strategies, CSR, and more
Marketing and Engagement – in an era of social media and short attention spans, storytelling remains essential. Marketing and engagement will provide attendees with the latest strategies to deepen connections with their audiences, drive registrations or extend event value
Tech Innovation and AI – AI’s rapid evolution is possibly one of the biggest challenges facing individuals and organizations in 2025. Sessions range from entry or beginner level to learning and updates for more experienced tech users, embracing both AI and other event tech applications
Trends and Research – covering big market shifts, geopolitical, economic and other pressures right down to micro-learnings about event personas and generational complexity in the workplace.
Well-being – in 2025 well-being is rapidly evolving beyond yoga, running and meditation to fostering meaningful connections in order to offset loneliness and isolation, deeper health practices such as functional medicine and creating inclusive, safe spaces for rest and renewal
Design Matters – when prioritizing great event experiences, great design matters more than ever. Excellent design differentiates a brand across multiple channels and formats, establishes trust and credibility, and increases engagement. This new track recognizes the challenges of “good design” and offers insights and practical examples from designers.
Leadership and Culture – the new business era calls for empathetic leadership, a strong culture and a fresh understanding of what work means to different people. Experts from across global business sectors will share their advice on new ways to lead while championing employee engagement and stakeholder value.
