LHW adds 10 hotels to portfolio

The Leading Hotels of the World (LHW) has added 10 new hotel members to its curated collection of luxury and independent properties around the world

With these new additions, we are able to continually serve the curious traveler through our growing collection of independent, service-led, five-star hotels in both emerging and established destinations.”

The new member hotels are:

Paradero Todos Santos, Baja, Mexico | Opened 2021 (shown top of post)

Set within five acres of untouched Baja farmland, Paradero Todos Santos offers 41 suites, featuring natural materials, muted tones, and private terraces with hammocks or outdoor soaking tubs. Rooftop suites have “star nets,” allowing guests to sleep beneath the vast desert sky. Other amenities include an open-air Living Room that serves as a communal hub, a 130-foot infinity pool (shown above), the Ojo de Agua Spa, and Tenoch, a restaurant led by Chef Eduardo Rios that combines Mexican cuisine with Japanese influences.

Hotel Gabrielli, Venice, Italy | Re-opening August 2025

Located on the promenade of Riva degli Schiavoni, Hotel Gabrielli is just moments from the iconic Piazza San Marco. It will reopen in August following a meticulous restoration, with 66 rooms and suites. Design details include the use of rich walnut wood, fine Italian marble, and subtle golden accents create an ambiance of understated luxury. It is also home to Caffè Gabrielli Restaurant, the chic K Lounge Bar, a 600-square-meter private garden, an exclusive spa, a private dock, and a rooftop terrace that delivers panoramic views of the city.

Vista Ostuni, Puglia, Italy | Opening Summer 2025

Opening this summer, Vista Ostuni is the latest project from the Vista Collection, the independent Italian hospitality group helmed by the Passera family. Situated within the walls of a restored 14th-century convent, it features 28 rooms and suites, expansive indoor and outdoor pools, and a 354-square-meter spa. Gastronomy is elevated by Michelin-starred chef Andrea Berton, who curates the flavors of the region across Berton al Vista, Bianca Bistrot, and the panoramic rooftop bar. Set amid two hectares of ancient olive groves and fragrant gardens, Vista Ostuni is LEED Gold certified.

The Telegraph Hotel, Tbilisi, Georgia | Open June 2025

Overlooking Tbilisi’s Republic Square, The Telegraph Hotel is housed within the landmark 1970s Central Post Office, a 239-room architectural icon has been designed by studio Neri & Hu. The original Bolnisi tuff façade has been restored and the interior features sleek lines and refined materials. It is the first Georgian member of The Leading Hotels of the World. Amenities include six distinct food and drink venues (rooftop bar, Italian classics, Thai street food, etc.), a jazz club, a wellness studio, and sophisticated event spaces that capture the essence of Tbilisi’s rich history and contemporary pulse.

High in the majestic Pindos mountains in northern Greece, The Grand Forest Metsovo delivers a range of outdoor and indoor experiences. Premium mountain suites with fireplaces, bespoke marble baths, and panoramic views across gardens and forested peaks are a highlight of the property. At the table, Grand Forest Metsovo celebrates the rich culinary traditions of Epirus, reimagining hearty mountain fare with an elevated touch and the finest local ingredients.

Palacio de Sancti Petri, Chiclana, Spain

Located on the sunny Costa de la Luz, Hotel Palacio de Sancti Petri Meliá is a Neo-Mudejar palace transformed into a seaside resort. Highlights include its beachfront restaurant, Chiringuito, where Michelin-starred chef Ángel León transforms the day’s freshest catch into elevated versions of cocina gaditana; a private streatch of La Barrosa Beach; and the Spa by Clarins. Exclusive partnerships allow guests to enjoy adventures such as tailored regional expeditions in a private Audi.

Grand Hotel des Étrangers, Siracusa, Italy

Situated on the island of Ortigia, Grand Hotel Des Étrangers is an icon of Sicilian hospitality. Set within a grand neoclassical palace, this five-star hotel has been meticulously reimagined. Today, it offers 68 individually designed rooms and suites, an on-site restaurant – Clou – serving Sicilian dishes that blend local traditions and modern flair, and terraces with panoramic views. It is steps from the ancient Fonte Aretusa and the heart of Ortigia.

Pensione America, Forte dei Marmi, Italy | Opened April 2025

First built in 1899 and transformed into a popular pensione in 1922, Pensione America is an adults-only retreat with 18 individually designed rooms and suites that reflect the glamor of mid-century Italian style. Set in lush gardens, it has an emerald-green ceramic and marble pool, a private beach club with cabanas, and refined seaside dining. The meticulously restored villa is close to Lucca, Pisa and the Cinque Terre.

NgoroNgoro Lodge, NgoroNgoro, Tanzania I Opened 2023

Perched on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, the NgoroNgoro Lodge is part of the exclusive Meliá Collection. It offers 60 rooms, including 24 suites and a private villa complete with personal chef and butler. The lodge’s architecture harmoniously combines African craftsmanship with contemporary design. Other amenities include three distinct restaurants and a heated infinity pool. Guests can take part in  personalized safari adventures and engage with Maasai culture.

Situated on the shores of the Côte d’Azur, Château de Théoule was once a private residence for French nobility and originally a 17th-century soap factory.  It reopened in Spring 2024 as an exclusive 5-star boutique retreat, with 44 rooms and suites, each offering views of the Mediterranean.  Features include a  private beach, a cutting-edge spa, and sun-drenched terraces. At Mareluna, Chef Francesco Fezza presents a Michelin-recognized culinary experience that blends Mediterranean and Japanese influences.
