Raffles Moscow, the first Raffles brand hotel in Russia, is expected to open in the second half of 2022.

Located in the heart of the city next to the Kremlin, the project is being developed by the Kievskaya Ploshchad Group of Companies, one of Russia’s largest commercial real estate companies. Kievskaya Ploshchad and Accor inked the deal in December.

Raffles Moscow will offer 153 guestrooms over nine floors, including 20 two-bedroom suites, 19 junior suites and two luxurious Presidential suites (3767 square feet and 4520 square feet), each featuring two bedrooms and a large outdoor terrace.

The architecture of the hotel reflects its position on Moscow’s historical Varvarka Street. According to God Nisanov, CEO, Kievshkaya Ploshchad, Raffles Moscow has been developed to respect the recommendations of the Ministry of Culture and in close cooperation with the Department of Cultural Legacy of Moscow.

“Leading upscale designers and creative architects of the world have collaborated to bring all elements of the project together,” explained Nisanov. “This is a unique project in terms of the architectural value and the level of personalized service that will be delivered together with Accor and its acclaimed Raffles brand. We are very excited to move the project forward with our partners and firmly believe this iconic address will significantly increase the international attractiveness of Moscow in the tourism industry.”

Sébastien Bazin, chairman and CEO, Accor, said that announcing the arrival of the iconic Raffles brand in Russia is an extraordinary moment for Accor. “The hotel’s unique location and legendary Raffles service will make it one of the most exciting openings of 2022 for Accor.”

Combining a hotel and residences, the Raffles Moscow building will feature a grand entrance through a historical arch, a unique mosaic outdoor courtyard, a spa with a real Russian bath and multiple thermal zones, a fitness center and a 25-metre swimming pool, shopping gallery and beauty salon.

It will also have a spacious event center with a 7,857-square-foot Grand Ballroom, four meeting rooms ranging in size from 500 square feet to just under 900 square feet, and an open outdoor event area.

Its f&b offerings will include three signature chef restaurants and a Ladurée bakery run by the famous Russian restauranteur Alexander Rapport.

A legendary Raffles Long Bar will complement the restaurants. Home to the famous Singapore Sling cocktail, this emblematic bar concept is a key marker of the brand and a prominent feature in Raffles hotels around the world.
