Six Senses has opened a new resort in AMAALA, the 1,600-square-mile wellness destination on the Red Sea in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Six Senses AMAALA sits between beaches and a mangrove-fringed lagoon, with a clifftop mesa rising from its center. The luxury resort offers 100 suites and villas and 25 branded residences, the design of which was inspired by traditional Saudi coastal architecture and hospitality. Like all Six Senses resorts, wellness is at the core of the guest experience. Amenities and experiences include sleep-optimized design, nutrient-rich “Eat With Six Senses” cuisine, and a Six Senses Spa with Longevity Center, Biohacking Recovery Lounge, Watsu pool and sound dome.

• three restaurants – Soroya, an evening venue serving dishes that fuse Japanese precision and Latin American passion; Joud, an all-day restaurant serving Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine; and Beach Shack, a casual eatery with a menu that includes grilled seafood and homemade pastas
• a coffee roastery (Bunna), artisan bakery (Makhbaz), and the Nafas cooking school
• Earth Lab offering hands-on workshops, ranging from making upcycled art and beeswax wraps to creating essential oils from fresh-picked flowers and herbs

• access to the Corallium Marine Life Institute, the destination’s state-of-the-art ocean research and experience center, and the AMAALA Yacht Club

Six Senses AMAALA is part of a destination committed to operating entirely on renewable energy and is designed to achieve LEED Platinum certification for sustainable building practices.

The resort is a 45-minute drive from AlWajh International Airport, 20 minutes by seaplane, or two hours from Red Sea International Airport (RSI).

Six Senses AMAALA is the brand’s second resort in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia alongside Six Senses Southern Dunes. It adds the brand’s growing presence in the region, which includes Six Senses Zighy Bay and Six Senses Shaharut, with Six Senses The Palm, Dubai expected to open later this year.
