Suzhou to be home to new Four Seasons’ property

Plans for a new Four Seasons hotel in historic Suzhou, China, have been announced by Four Seaons Hotels and Resorts and Sun Hung Kai Properties (SHKP), a renowned property developer in Greater China.

Set to open in late 2023, Four Seasons Hotel Suzhou will comprise nine hectares (22 acres) of a private island surrounded by Jinji Lake, a popular attraction in the region. It is expected to feature just over 200 rooms, suites and oversized private villas; a spa and fully-equipped gym; lakeside jogging track; lush grounds and gardens; and indoor and outdoor pools.

Dining experiences at the property will include a premier Chinese restaurant with seven private dining rooms; an all-day dining restaurant serving international cuisine; a lobby lounge and lobby bar with a panoramic view of Jinji Lake; and an Executive Lounge overlooking the hotel’s private landscaped lagoon.

Meeting and event spaces at the hotel will include a grand ballroom, a multi-function room, and several meeting rooms with state-of-the-art equipment that can be used for all kinds of meetings, presentations, conferences and social events.

The city of Suzhou is located half an hour by train or an hour by car from Shanghai. A thriving economic and leisure centre, it is home to the historic UNESCO World Heritage listed Classical Gardens dating between 11th and 19th century, picturesque pagodas, canals, stone bridges and museums, as well as the neighbouring Jinji Lake International Golf Club.
