The Marker to fly Anantara flag

Bangkok-based Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas will officially make its debut in Ireland with the opening of Anantara The Marker Dublin Hotel.

Previously known as The Marker, the property is housed in one of the Irish capital’s most contemporary and architecturally-impressive buildings, and located in the heart of the Docklands, an innovative part of the city that is home to some of the world’s most famous names in tech.

A member of Leading Hotels of the World, The Marker has undergone a multi-million dollar renovation and will reopen under the Anantara flag with completely refurbished guestrooms, refreshed lobby and bar and a new destination restaurant, Forbes Street by Gareth Mullins.

Anantara The Marker Dublin Hotel offers 187 guestrooms over six floors, comprising 124 Premier and Deluxe rooms, 18 Junior Corner Suites, and three large executive suites. The 1,380+ square-foot Presidential Suite has two ensuite bedrooms and separate living spaces. Located on the fifth floor, it delivers unobstructed views of Grand Canal Square.

Property highlights include:

  • eight state-of-the-art event and meeting facilities;
  • a Condé Nast award-winning spa that offers an infinity pool, sauna and eucalyptus-infused steam room, alongside a series of new Signature Anantara Spa treatments inspired by indigenous Irish ingredients;
  • and a rooftop terrace with panoramic 360° views across the cityscape stretching to the sea at Dublin Bay.

The only five-star hotel in the area, Anantara The Marker Dublin is close to the International Financial Services Centre (IFSC) and the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre as well as the area’s cafés and restaurants.

Experiences available for guests include a signature Spice Spoons journey with the executive chef to the nearby seaside fishing village of Howth, a night of storytelling with a traditional seanachai (Gaelic for storyteller), a horse-racing experience with a leading horse trainer, and Breakfast by Design, a private, rooftop dining experience.

The Marker will be the seventh Anantara in Europe, joining properties in the Algarve (Portugal), Marbella (Spain), Budapest (Hungary), Rome (Italy), Nice (France), and Amsterdam (The Netherlands).
