The Palmetto, a luxury boutique hotel, is preparing to open its doors next month in Charleston, South Carolina’s historic French Quarter.

Dreamscape Companies, a New York-based real estate development and investment firm founded by industry veteran Eric Birnbaum, announced on February 23, 2023, that the property was rapidly approaching completion and would officially begin welcoming guests in March. Aimbridge Hospitality will be managing the hotel.

“The Palmetto is a truly special property in Charleston that we hope will be a local institution for many years to come,” said Scott Broder, president of Dreamscape Hospitality. “We expect its effortless style, prime location, and impeccable service to resonate with Charleston locals and tourists alike.”

Located at 194 East Bay Street, the 45-room hotel’s neighbours are High Cotton, an award-winning restaurant, and Slightly North of Broad, a celebrated eatery. In addition to incredible restaurants, guests at The Palmetto are also within easy walking distance of desirable shopping, galleries and parks.

The hotel’s curated decor references the city through the use of historic black and white party pictures and classic antiques reinvented through custom upholstery depicting iconic Low Country destinations.

Guestrooms are available in three categories: Deluxe King (275 square feet); Deluxe King Balcony (300 square feet); and Premium King Balcony (360 square feet). Room amenities include Bamford Toiletries, Nespresso coffee makers, custom-embroidered spa bathrobes, and 55-inch flat screen Chromecast-enabled televisions.

The property also offers an 800-square-foot Penthouse, which features floor-to-ceiling windows and a 500-square-foot balcony.

Dreamscape’s team has assets in New York, Miami, Phoenix, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Nashville and Charleston, and worked on a diverse portfolio of properties, including critcally-acclaimed endeavours such as Henry Hall in New York’s Hudson Yards, The Pod Hotel in New York’s Times Square, The Goodtime Hotel in South Beach, Miami, The Rio All-Suites Hotel in Las Vegas, and 5420 Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, Los Angeles.
