TOOR Hotel opens in downtown Toronto

TOOR Hotel, part of JdV by Hyatt, has officially opened its doors in downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Created by Canadian hotelier Sukhdev Toor, the property is housed in a 33-storey building. It offers 232 guestrooms and suites, 181 premium residential rental units, and array of amenities: Muse Bistro + Bar, valet parking, a 1,500-square-foot fitness center and yoga studio, a 3,000-square-foot south-facing terrace on the 14th floor, and an additional 1,000 square feet of meeting and event space.

Guestrooms and suites at the hotel feature the best in Canadian design inspired by the city’s parks and green spaces. Amenities include floor-to-ceiling windows, 55″ televisions, Nespresso machines, and Lutron lighting, which is operated by smart controls that allow guests to create custom atmospheres.

Muse Bistro + Bar spans 2,500 square feet over two storeys. Its ground floor is designed for meetings, working and grabbing a quick bite on-the-go. The second floor offers a more refined dining experience alongside an additional 1,000 square feet of meeting and event space.

TOOR Hotel’s fitness center and yoga studio is located on the 14th floor. The space has floor-to-ceiling windows with panoramic city views and a terrace for fresh-air workouts. It is equipped with Peleton bikes, rowers, and other top-tier fitness equipment.

Located at Jarvis and Shuter streets in the city’s Garden District, TOOR Hotel is within walking distance of the Eaton Centre, CAA Ed Mirvish Theatre, Toronto Metropolitan University, and other attractions.

The hotel is the first property to open under the TOOR Hotel brand. A second location is scheduled to open this year in Soho, New York City.
