Global hospitality company Banyan Group has opened its first Garrya brand hotel in Vietnam.

Located over 300 kilometers north of Hanoi, Garrya Mù Cang Chai is the first international resort brand in the region of Mu Cang Chai in Yen Bai province, North Vietnam, an area renowned for its mountains and rice terraces and recognized as a national natural heritage site.

The luxury, minimalist property is spread across 6.5 hectares. It features 110 rooms, suites and villas, ranging in size from 323 square feet to 1,657 square feet. Accommodation highlights include the Mu Cang Chai Pool Suite and Mountain View Pool Villa, both of which have bamboo accents – a cultural symbol of Vietnam – with brocade motifs typical of the indigenous H’Mong people. The Wellbeing Suite and Wellbeing Pool Suite, which have access to the Hydro Wellbeing Area and inclusive spa treatments.

Garrya Mù Cang Chai also offers multiple dine and drink options.

• Refresh is the resort’s all-day dining restaurant. It serves nutritious dishes alongside a selection of international, Asian, local, and Vietnamese dishes.
• Charcoal Grill offers an interactive dining experience with a live open kitchen. It highlights traditional charcoal and dry wood cooking methods adapted from the local ethnic groups.
• Underground Sports Bar provides gin-infused craft cocktails and light bites, accompanied by acoustic bands.
• Screening Rooms offer a space for music immersion.
• BZen Pool Bar, located next to the resort’s outdoor pool, serves light meals, fresh juices, and kombuchas.
• Lobby Lounge is a space for coffee or tea.

Representing Banyan Group’s wellbeing philosophy, the 8ELEMENTS Spa is centered on a Hydrotherapy Wellbeing Area that includes hot/warm and cold pools, shower experiences, a rain mist shower walk, an infrared sauna, and a herbal steam room. Other amenities include the ReCharge Gym, a comprehensive fitness center, and the Social Zone, a space for activities ranging from billiards and football to a variety of board games.

Garrya Mù Cang Chai is also home to multiple meeting and event spaces. Its 4,520-square-foot ballroom features 26-foot high ceilings and can accommodate up to 450 people. Two mid-size event rooms (861 square feet and more than 900 square) are suitable for groups of 50 and 80 respectively. And the fully-equipped boardroom has a capacity of 20 people. The resort also has a 2,000+ square-foot outdoor event space.
