Courtyard by Marriott Perth, Murdoch, is now open, marking the Marriott Bonvoy brand’s entry in Western Australia.

Developed in partnership with Western Australian property developer Hesperia, the hotel is located in Murdoch, Perth’s fastest-growing urban catchment and features an all-day contemporary dining venue, Substance Restaurant & Bar, as well as flexible spaces for meetings and a 24-hour fitness center.

Located approximately 10 minutes from Perth’s Central Business District and 25 minutes from Perth International Airport, the hotel is close to the Fiona Stanley and St John of God, Murdoch hospitals and Murdoch University.

“Courtyard by Marriott Perth, Murdoch marks the brand’s first hotel in Western Australia as part our ambitious expansion strategy,” said Diana Plazas-Trowbridge, senior vice-president and global brand leader for Marriott Select brands. “We are excited to continue opening hotels in significant urban growth corridors and the Murdoch Health and Knowledge precinct being Western Australia’s newest healthcare and commercial district is an ideal fit for Courtyard by Marriott, allowing the hotel to appeal to a broad range of leisure and business travelers.”

The property offers 150 guestrooms ranging in size from 300 square feet to 600 square feet and cleverly designed to maximize space and natural light. Amenities include plush bedding, flexible workspaces, floor-to-ceiling windows and complimentary WiFi.

The modern meetings and conference facilities at Courtyard by Marriott Perth, Murdoch combine innovative technology with style and comfort, including an open lobby providing flexible space to work or relax. The Dampiera Library is a bespoke space geared to cater to small corporate groups and conferences. It has a modern pre-function area, a meeting room with floor-to-ceiling windows as well as a balcony, and can accommodate up to 40 guests in a cocktail setup.

The hotel’s artisanal cafe and Asian bistro, Substance Restaurant and Bar, is led by head chef Mochsin Fam. Serving dishes with a health-centric focus, the restaurant features biophilic design principles and seats up to 76 diners. The Asian-inspired menu will feature a selection of seasonal, local dishes along with classic cocktails and a range of beverages. In addition, Substance will offer a grab-and-go section catering to the mixed-use commercial and residential clientele located in the precinct.

“Each facility in the hotel is aimed at creating an environment where great things can happen, enabling our guests to focus on productivity, or simply relax,” says James Illing, general manager of the Courtyard by Marriott Perth, Murdoch hotel. “Connecting travelers through comfortable and innovative spaces, intuitive service and a commitment to personal fulfilment is at the foundation of what we offer at Courtyard by Marriott Perth, Murdoch and we look forward to welcoming guests to experience this.”
