The first Hilton resort in Vietnam is slated to open in 2023.
The hospitality company has signed a management agreement with Sun Hospitality Group, one of Vietnam’s leading hospitality and real estate development companies, to launch a new resort under Curio Collection by Hilton in Phu Quoc, the country’s largest island.
The 197-key La Festa Phu Quoc, Curio Collection will feature architecture and design reflective of its surroundings. It will offer a wide selection of dining and drink options – an all-day dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant, a lobby lounge, and a bar – as well as a pool, fitness center, and spa.
“Each hotel under our Curio Collection by Hilton portfolio provides both leisure and business travelers with authentic experiences in primary city and resort destinations across the world,” said Alexandra Jaritz, senior vice-president, brand management, Asia Pacific, Hilton. “These come to life through the hotel’s unique story which is woven throughout its architectural and design details, service culture, food and beverage offerings and other curated experiences. With a distinctive design and identity, La Festa Phu Quoc, Curio Collection by Hilton will stand out against the backdrop of accommodation in Phu Quoc, appealing to inquisitive travelers seeking to explore the world.”
Nguyen Vu Quynh Anh, CEO, Sun Hospitality Group, said that together with Hilton, his company is bringing another five-star resort masterpiece to Phu Quoc, a leading tourist destination in Vietnam.
“By doing so we will be elevating the international hotel service standards in Vietnam, helping to improve service quality and customer experience,” he explained. “This resort is a fantastic stepping stone to helping our local Vietnamese talent gain precious experience in an international and world-class setting, and we are thrilled to be embarking on this partnership with Hilton who is known around the world for delivering strong performance across their award-winning brands. Our experience in the market, combined with the strength of Hilton’s brand, loyalty program and commercial engine, will place La Festa Phu Quoc, Curio Collection by Hilton in a great position to draw guests looking for truly authentic local experiences when it opens.”
Hilton currently operates three hotels in Vietnam: Hilton Hanoi Opera, Hilton Garden Inn Hanoi and Hilton Da Nang, with nine hotels in its development pipeline in the country including Hilton Saigon, which will mark the entry of the flagship Hilton brand into Ho Chi Minh City when it opens.
Sun Hospitality Group’s portfolio includes the InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula, JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Resort, and Hotel de la Coupole – MGallery in Sa Pa.
