Incentive travel and event planners are invited to contact Four Seasons to arrange pre-opening site tours of the Four Seasons Hotel Montreal, which will officially open on May 8, 2019.

The property is also confirming reservations dates beginning May 8th for its onsite restaurant, MARCUS—the first Canadian eatery by renowned Chef Marcus Samuelsson.

“We can’t wait to receive our local community, as well as world travellers, into our luxury ecosystem for the full Four Seasons experience, right in downtown Montreal,” says Four Seasons general manager Gonçalo Monteiro.

The property is located in Montreal’s Golden Square Mile, a storied neighbourhood that has brought glamour to the city’s downtown since the 19th century.

The property offers 169 guestrooms, 19 suites and 18 Four Seasons Private Residences. Deluxe rooms on the higher floors feature floor-to-ceiling windows. The Premier Carré Doré rooms, located on a corridor overlooking the art display in the atrium, have chaise longues and glass doors beside the bed opening to a free-standing bathtub.

1. Guestroom decor blends intelligent design with sensual materials. 2,3. Bathroom features include large rain shower heads and, in certain rooms, free-standing tubs.

The Social Square

One of the highlights of the property is an open-concept series of spaces on the third-floor lobby level called Social Square.

This area includes the new MARCUS Restaurant + Terrace and MARCUS Bar + Lounge—Chef Marcus Samuelsson’s brasserie concept. Open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner, its culinary team will work closely with local producers and growers to deliver sustainable seafood, a raw bar, and local vegetables and grains.

“I couldn’t be more excited to finally be opening here at Four Seasons Hotel Montreal,” says Chef Samuelsson. “It’s amazing to become a part of this neighbourhood and to debut in Canada for the first time. We want everyone to feel at home with us as they explore our flavours, dynamic vibe and culinary perspective.”

Atelier Zébulon Perron designed the interiors of MARCUS, which flows through the third-floor lobby level. Features include a large, all-season heated terrace and a bar/lounge.

The Social Square also offers guests direct indoor access to Holt Renfrew Ogilvy, the city’s newly-opened luxury shopping destination.

The hotel’s other amenities and services include:

  • the 450-person Palais des Possibles ballroom, featuring a sweeping terrace overlooking Montreal;
  • a 24-hour fitness centre by celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak;
  • a skylit indoor pool, sauna and luxurious spa with fully private VIP rooms;
  • luxury valet service;
  • and special programs for parents and pets.
