Kimpton Virgilio is now open. The 48-key property in the “Polanquito” area is Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants’ first boutique hotel in Mexico City.

Developed by ZKC, an investment fund specializing in real estate developments in Mexico City, Kimpton Virgilio is full of details that capture the vibe and nuances of Mexico City, including locally-made furniture and art pieces, current music and decoration. Guestrooms, which were designed by Arquitectura de Interiores Studio, have a modern Mexican tone.

Food and beverage needs at Kimpton Virgilio are filled by its street-side restaurant, Pepe: Mesa Española, which serves redefined traditional Spanish cuisine with international touches, and the rooftop La Caña Bar.

Carlos Juárez, the hotel’s executive chef, explained that “in Pepe we want to celebrate originality, the exploration of the new and the redefinition of what is already known, so every visitor will enjoy the flavors of Spain from a different creative proposal, with a high level of service, amid music and an atmosphere full of fun and warmth.”

Other services and amenities at Kimpton Virgilio include:

  • Complimentary evening social hour
  • Loaner designer bikes
