Sofitel Montreal Golden Mile, the Accor brand’s flagship Canadian property, has completed a multi-phase refurbishment.
The redesign of the property, which was led by Canadian design firm 2pirdesign, reflects the spirit of a French home – intimate, expressive, and artfully curated. A refined blend of rose and bronze metallic accents, sculptural lighting, rich textures, and artistic elements are seen throughout the hotel from its lobby to the corridors and suites.
The 256 guestrooms, including 17 suites, have been reimagined. Subtle design details range from teal murals to curated minibars in rose and bronze tones and marble bathrooms featuring rain showers and Balmain amenities. The Prestige Corner and Gold Mile suites feature a color palette of toasted red, mint and teal. The Presidential Suite’s new design blends rich textures with theatrical elements – rust accents, a sculptural headboard, warm lighting.

Other highlights of the transformation of Sofitel Montreal include:
- the comprehensive redesign of RENOIR, the hotel’s on-site restaurant helmed by executive chef Olivier Perret, which new features a light-filled sunroom, an intimate chef’s table, and interiors inspired by French Impressionism
- the opening of NINI Cocktail Lounge – named after Auguste Renoir’s muse, Nini Lopez – a space anchored by a rose-gold central bar and features custom lighting and flexible seating
- a complete design refresh of all meeting and event spaces, which are named after iconic artists – the Picasso Ballroom and the Monet-Chagall, Matisse and Gaugin rooms – and now feature original mosaics celebrating the city’s landmarks, which were created by Montreal and Romanian artists
