W Hotels brand arrives in Macau

W Macau – Studio City opened today, marking the debut of the W Hotels brand in Macau.

Part of Melco Resorts & Entertainment‘s integrated resort of Studio City on Cotai Strip, the hotel has 557 guestrooms and suites, four distinct restaurants and bars, and seven customizable meeting and event rooms.

Zaha Hadid Architects‘ design of W Macau – Studio City blends the glamor of 1950s Hollywood with contemporary representations of Macau’s unique East-meets-West culture and history.

With views of either Cotai or the city, the property’s 430 rooms and 127 suites range in size from nearly 400 square feet to more than 2,775 square feet. In-room amenities include a Bluetooth sound system and W Mix Bar. On the 38th floor, W’s take on the Presidential Suite – the Extreme WOW Suite – offers 270-degree floor-to-ceiling windows, a circular bed, and a generous dining area complete with a kitchenette featuring Portuguese-style ceramic tiles.

Dining and drink options at W Macau include: Living Room, a day-to-night coffee and cocktail bar; A.P.D. (A Perfect Dose), the speakeasy extension of the Living Room; Hawker Hawker, the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant featuring live kitchens and a menu of international and local flavors; Diva, a special restaurant serving contemporary Cantonese fine dining, and Blind Tiger, the hotel’s destination bar.

W Macau -Studio City’s dedicated meeting space,  The Academy, is comprised of seven customizable rooms spread across nearly 6,500 square feet. The space is equipped with an open kitchen and beverage station  – a first for Macau – and an extensive range of audio-visual facilities as well as the latest in meeting technology. The largest room is 1,636 square feet and can accommodate up to 130 guests.

W Macau – Studio City also offers:

  • Greater China’s first W Sound Suite, the brand’s signature recording studio experience;
  • WET, a 16-meter pool area with a Jacuzzi, a cool-down pool, swing beds and steam and sauna rooms;
  • FIT, a workout room with the latest cardio equipment and weights;
  • and AWAY® Spa, with two express and five standard treatment rooms.
