Hilton Singapore Orchard, the largest Hilton hotel in Asia Pacific, has created a unique meeting space – Smart Oasis – in a former carpark on its fifth level.

Created as part of the hotel’s extensive SG $150 million renovation, Smart Oasis comprises seven function rooms and two breakout areas.

The space was developed by Avalon Collection, the internationally acclaimed design firm responsible for much of the hotel’s design. Inspired by the Orchard Trail Experience, the space incorporates cutting-edge technology and natural elements with modern design, which pays homage to the precinct’s plantation history.

“In designing the Smart Oasis experience, our team was keenly aware that there is more business done during the breakout sessions than in the meeting rooms,” explained Cedric Jaccard, creative director, Avalon Collection. “As such, we designed a space focused on the time between meetings to create an oasis for guests to meet with purpose and connect with each other.”

Smart Oasis is a flexible space that can accommodate up to 185 people and is suitable for a variety of events, including meetings, exhibitions and product launches. Its meeting rooms are named after different local tree species such as Tembusu, Ficus, Rhu and Mahogany, and are equipped with the latest technology incuding oversized LED screens for hybrid meetings and screenings. The majority of the rooms offer two LED screens for additional content and flexibility, custom-built conference tables with built-in plugs and USB ports, and ergonomic chairs.

The central space at Smart Oasis is thoughtfully designed to bring nature inside with a dry garden and a Barrisol stretch ceiling to simulate the feeling of natural light.

In addition to Smart Oasis, Hilton Singapore Orchard features two state-of-the-art, pillarless ballrooms. The Grand Ballroom on Level 6 is the hotel’s largest event space. It can accommodate up to 900 guests. The multi-tiered Imperial Ballroom on the 35th floor provides panoramic city view for up to 250 guests. The property is also offers five meeting rooms, ideal for up to 40 people, in its Level 8 meeting space.

The MICE experience at Hilton Singapore Orchard is supported by a dedicated group arrival lobby; an inventory of 1,080 guestrooms and suites; an expansive Executive Lounge; and five culinary outlets, including Osteria Mozza by chef Nancy Silverton, which has a 10-seat private dining room and two-Michelin starred Shisen Hanten by Chen Kentaro with four private dining areas.
