Hilton Monterrey opened last week  in the northeast province of Nuevo León, Mexico.

Located in the city’s financial and business district, the 225-key hotel is the latest addition to Hilton Hotels & Resorts’ Mexico portfolio, which currently includes approximately 90 hotels and resorts.

The new-build property features a design concept by Hirsch Bedner Associates (HBA) that highlights the contrast of Monterrey’s urban architecture and natural beauty surrounding it.

Throughout the hotel a neutral palette is offset by dark contrasting tones and elements of misty blue that reflect the area’s landscape. This palette is complemented by elements of stone, wood and metal.

The guestrooms offer a choice of city skyline views or views of the Sierra Madre Oriental Mountain range, which lies south of Monterrey. In room amenities include complimentary, high-speed WiFi, 55-inch flat-panel HDTVs, a dedicated work desk, rainfall shower, large closet and more.

The property’s Presidential Suite features floor-to-ceiling windows, spacious living area, kitchenette, and an oversized, modern bathroom with a free-standing soaking tub.

Hilton Monterrey also offers three on-site dining experiences. Chef Alejandro González leads its culinary vision, serving up experiences and dishes inspired by the traditional cuisine of Mexico and grounded on sustainable practices and seasonal, local ingredients. Farm-to-table restaurant Härth is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Its menu blends local and international cuisines. Dishes include shrimp ravioli with spicy tuna tartar in a Huancaina sauce, and Tetela, a triangular corn tortilla filled with duck confit, breaded egg yok and pea sprouts, served over homemade mole. Härth Bar, located adjacent to the restaurant, serves all-day fresh cocktails. And Wander, the hotel’s rooftop bar and lounge offers cocktails and a selection of international street food with panoramic views of the city.

The hotel also has eight meeting and event spaces in over 12,000 square feet of space. Venues include a pre-function foyer and outdoor terrace, the 24-foot ceiling Magnolia ballroom that can host up to 600 attendees, and a boardroom and individual meeting rooms names after trees native to Nuevo León.

The design of Hilton Monterrey places high importance on energy efficiency, from heat recovery systems to save natural gas, to water-saving toilet tanks and showers, and an automation system that mains the rooms at a certain temperature when guests are out.

“We’re thrilled to bring Hilton Hotels & Resorts to Monterrey, growing our flagship brand’s ever-expanding presence and best-in-class hospitality offerings in Mexico,” said Leonard Gooz, global brand head, Hilton Hotels & Resorts. “Hilton Monterrey offers thoughtful service, energizing, inviting spaces beautifully designed to reflect the destination, locally influenced dining options and memorable meetings and events, delivering an exceptional stay for business and leisure travelers alike.”
