I Hotel Seattle is now accepting reservations ahead of its opening in April 2025.

Set in the South Lake Union neighborhood at the cross-section of Seattle’s emerging biotech and big-tech industries, the property is part of the nature-inspired luxury lifestyle hotel brand – 1 Hotels – founded by Barry Sternlicht, chairman of SH Hotels & Resorts (soon to be Starwood Hotels).

“Seattle has always been a city that values sustainability, innovation, and connection to nature,” says Sternlicht. “With 1 Hotel Seattle, we’ve created a property that not only reflects the city’s natural surroundings but also champions our mission to redefine what luxury hospitality can be through sustainable practices.”

The hotel is conveniently located close to the city’s Downtown, the Climate Pledge Arena, and Amazon’s headquarters. The house cars – fully electric Audi Q8 e-trons – will take guests to nearby landmarks like Pike Place Market, the Space Needle, and Seattle’s waterfront.

1 Hotel Seattle offers:

  • a spacious, light-filled lobby with a living wall of cascading greenery and a huge fireplace;
  • a landscaped outdoor lobby, adjacent to the lobby;
  • 153 guestrooms including 45 suites (Studio Suite shown top of post) featuring large windows, reclaimed wood finishes, stone-clad millwork, moss-inspired art installations, and live-edge furniture;
  • multiple meeting and event spaces, including the Rainier Ballroom, which has an outdoor terrace and floor-to-ceiling windows delivering views of the city’s famous Space Needle;
  • a signature restaurant called La Loba, which combines the culinary traditions of Barcelona, the Mediterranean and Japan with Seattle’s top-quality ingredients;
  • a state-of-the-art fitness center (The Field House) equipped with Peloton bikes, resistance treadmills, and a curated selection of fitness experiences;
  • and an exclusive line of environmentally-conscious bath products (in every room) formulated by Bamford Wellness Spa.

1 Hotel Seattle also features design and operations that reflect the brand’s deep commitment to the environment. Innovative practices include:

  • the use of energy-efficient smart thermostats, low-VOC materials, and advanced air quality management systems;
  • a partnership with Foodprint Group that will assist the property in its aim to divert more than 90 percent of waste from landfills;
  • the replacement of single-use plastics, across the hotel, with sustainable alternatives like reusable glassware and compostable materials;
  • and soft, thoughtful touches such as quotes on hangers and chalkboards in guestrooms, providing educational moments to inspire guests to reflect on their impact on the planet.
