Accor today announced the signing of Sofitel Genoa Waterfront, a new-build landmark luxury hotel being developed in partnership with AG Group.
Set to open in 2027 on the Italian city’s waterfront, Sofitel Genoa Waterfront will blend French elegance with the maritime heritage of Liguria. It is being designed by Renzo Piano Building Workshop (RPBW), the firm led by world-renowned architect Renzo Piano and known for iconic works such as The Shard in London and the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris. This project also sees the involvement of Orion and CDS Holding SpA as investors and developers of the Waterfront di Levante project, as well as this hotel, which forms an integral part of it.
Sofitel Genoa Waterfront will offer:
- 120 guestrooms, including 20 suites
- an all-day dining restaurant
- lobby lounge bar,
- pool bar,
- spa
- gym
- swimming pool
- two meeting rooms
The hotel will benefit from improved high-speed rail connectivity, linking Genoa to Milan in only 53 minutes by 2026, while also offering easy access to Portofino and the Cinque Terre.
