The first Regent in Indonesia is now open on the shores of Canggu, a resort village on the south coast of Bali.

Regent Bali Canggu features the world’s first Regent Spa, six distinctive dining options, and 150 oceanside rooms and suites.

“It is our privilege to bring Regent to Indonesia – a brand with such legacy. Our way of life at Regent Bali Canggu is inspired by the spirited energy of surf culture and the calming effect of our coastline. These contrasts are celebrated through the resort’s invigorating design, storied experiences and unmistakable Balinese charm. Our intention is to uplift our guests, awaken the senses and spark fresh perspectives as they unravel the spirit of Bali,” said Manish Puri, general manager, Regent Bali Canggu.

The new-build resort was designed by WATG Architects, with interiors by Hirsch Bedner Associates (HBA) and landscape design by John Pettigrew.

Highlights of Regent Bali Canggu include:

  • a 6,652-square-foot Penthouse with its own 323-square-foot infinity pool
  • Regent Experience Agents, a signature, central point of contact assigned to each guest
  • a fully-stocked Refreshment Gallery in each room, which is replenished daily with a selection of beverages and light snacks such as local teas, homemade infused spirits and craft cocktails made with Nusa Caña Rum and East Indies Gin, Balinese artisan chocolates and Tempe chips
  • seven restorative treatment rooms in the resort’s spa, including one especially for couples
  • hydro-wellness facilities (vitality pool, ice baths, saunas)
  • a 24/7 health club
  • two signature restaurants – Sazón (Mediterranean inspired) and Cure Bali (Asian influences) – helmed by award-winning Chef Andrew Walsh, whose menus draw from his Irish heritage, the flavors of Nordic European waters and the untamed wilderness
  • Taru, an eatery offering authentic Indonesian dishes such as rendang sapi and udang bakar pete
  • a beach house, pool bar and lounge

Regent Bali Canggu joins a global portfolio spanning 11 properties in nine countries, including Regent Hong Kong, Regent Shanghai on the Bund, Regent Santa Monica Beach, Carlton Cannes, a Regent Hotel and Regent Phu Quoc. Eleven properties are in the brand’s development pipeline.
