The iconic Colony Club in Barbados has reopened as part of Marriott International’s Luxury Collection.

Located on Barbados’ Platinum Coast, the property was originally built in the 1930s as a private seaside residence, later becoming the Caribbean island’s first residential club and then evolving into a hotel.

It is reopening following a meticulous renovation by Marriott International, featuring redesigned guestrooms, enriched wellness spaces, and elevated culinary experience.

Blending colonial charm with contemporary sophistication, the resort’s 96 rooms and suites feature bespoke furnishings and ocean-inspired palettes.

Colony Club’s open-air dining venues deliver panoramic views alongside menus crafted from fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Restaurants and bars include:

  • Laguna, the property’s main dining space, serving elevated Bajan classics in a setting overlooking tropical gardens and a lagoon-style pool;
  • Sunset Bar & Deck, which offers light bites and cocktails by the beach;
  • and the Rum Vault, the first of its kind in Barbados, a boutique tasting room showcasing more than 150 rums from around the world.

The revitalized wellness program includes holistic treatments inspired by Barbadian traditions at The Spa at Colony Club, which is set within tropical gardens. The spa menu includes a range of facials, massages and body therapies.

Activities at the resort include Island-to-Table dinners, personalized cooking classes in the organic garden, and complimentary water sports, including motorized options such as water skiing, wakeboarding, and banana boat rides.
