Kimpton Atlântico Algarve is now open. The 147-key luxury lifestyle property is the brand’s first resort in Portugal.

Designed by Portugal’s Nini Andrade Silva under the project management of LUCID Development Group, the resort’s aesthetic is inspired by the Mediterranean landscape and the slow pace of coastal life. Design elements include natural textures, warm earthy tones, smooth stone surfaces, airy linens, handcrafted ceramics and timber accents.

In addition to its 147 rooms and suites, Kimpton Atlântico Algarve offers:

• a selection of bars and restaurants, including Sombra (garden venue specializing in fresh seafood), Marés (beachfront restaurant), Zénite (rooftop bar), and Terra – Bar, Café, Market (multi-faceted dining venue);
• a more than 19,375-square-foot Wellness Hub with heated indoor pool, a hydroactive spa circuit with a flotation tank, jacuzzi, sauna, and a cutting-edge gym;
• three outdoor pools;
• beach access;
• and three indoor meeting venues on its first floor – Auditorium Pacific (capacity 484), Indian Ocean (capacity 150, can be divided into five independent meeting rooms), and Atlantic Ocean (capacity 150, also divisible into five meeting rooms).

Kimpton Atlântico Algarve is located on São Rafael Beach near the town of Albufeira in southern Portugal. It joins a growing IHG portfolio of luxury lifestyle hotels in Europe, including Kimpton Fitzroy London, Kimpton Los Monteros Marbella and Kimpton Main Frankfurt, with more destinations in the pipeline.
