Mandarin Oriental’s second property in Dubai is set to open in October.
Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai will be housed in Wasl Tower, a new architectural icon on Sheikh Zayed Road designed by UNStudio and engineered by Werner Sobek, a specialist in sustainable design. Framed by the region’s tallest ceramic facade, the 994-foot, 64-storey tower’s distinctive twisting form is accentuated by innovative fins that optimize airflow for natural cooling. A mixed-use development, it is home to luxury office spaces, restaurants, bars, a Metro station, and a 650-seat ballroom as well as the five-star Mandarin Oriental property.
Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai will offer 259 rooms and suites, 224 exclusive residences and unobstructed views of both the Arabian Gulf and the city’s skyline.

- ten culinary concepts and bars spanning numerous cuisines, including Yù & Mì (a Chinese bar and restaurant inspired by 1960s Hong Kong) and Chitarra (a restaurant focused on authentic Italian cuisine)

- a variety of meeting and event spaces, the largest of which can accommodate up to 150 guests
Spanning two floors, The Spa at Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai will offer a variety of treatments and services guided by the pillars of nourishment, in-room wellness, beauty and intelligent movement. Other wellness facilities include a 25-metre outdoor lap pool, located on the 11th floor rooftop terrace and a fully-equipped fitness center.
Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai is 15 minutes from Dubai International Airport and five minutes from City Walk, a pedestrian area with international stores, al fresco restaurants, entertainment and attractions such as The Green Planet, the city’s own indoor rainforest.
