The Hoxton brand today makes its debut in Scotland with the opening of The Hoxton, Edinburgh.

Located in the city’s West End, the 214-key property is set within 11 transformed, Georgian-inspired terraced townhouses split across both sides of historic Grosvenor Street.

The lobby features a mural by artist Verity Woolley, a vintage amber and clear Murano glass chandelier, white and grey checkerboard tiling, and geometric textiles and scalloped motifs that complement and offset the Georgian-style architecture. In addition to reception, it is home to a bar, the design of which pays homage to a classic tap room, and a retro, five-seat screening room, complete with plush burgundy velvet seats, popcorn machine and a curated program by local film buffs Cinetopia.

The property’s 214 guestrooms are housed in the main building (150) and in a townhouse across the road (64). The nine accommodation categories include Snug Single, Bunk, Cosy, Roomy and Biggy, with “Up” iterations for a slightly grander version of each. The Hoxton, Edinburgh also features three of the brand’s newest room category, House. These self-contained, three-bed, three bath homes can sleep up to seven adults and come complete with a fully-outfitted kitchen, dining area and lounge.

Patatino, the hotel’s trattoria-style Italian restaurant, is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It serves hearty, Italian dishes using local Scottish produce with playful twists, such as Square Sausage, Schiacciata Sandwich, Arancini with Slow-Cooked Brisket, and sour dough pizza topped with haggis, jalapeno, hot honey, sausage and fior di latte.

The Hoxton, Edinburgh also offers a 3,230-square-foot ballroom-style events space, called The Get Together that can accommodate up to 250 guests. It can be divided into two smaller spaces: The Get Up (1,775+ square feet) and The Get Down (1,450+ square feet). Highlights of the space are a private bar and stage, a recessed fireplace, globe pendant lights, and a skylight that bathes the area in natural light.

In addition, the property features the brand’s staple meeting and events space, The Apartment. Located on the ground floor, it is comprised of four private rooms – the Dining Room, Library, Living Room and Drawing Room –spread across nearly 2,300 square feet. Each room is fully equipped with AV and design throughout is classic and pared back, with huge bay windows, light wood and khaki green accents, and herringbone parquet floors.

The Hoxton, Edinburgh’s townhouse, home to 64 rooms, is available for buyout.
