Westin Hotels & Resorts is transforming The Westin Resort & Spa Puerto Vallarta into an all-inclusive beach resort.

The transformation is set to be completed by May 2026, at which time the property will be rebranded as The Westin Playa Vallarta, an All-Inclusive Resort, becoming the first Westin all-inclusive in Mexico.

The property’s transition to an all-inclusive is part of a multi-million-dollar renovation that has been underway for the past year.

The Westin Playa Vallarta, an All-Inclusive Resort, will feature:

• 281 reimagined suites, including 30 private plunge pool suites and 16 swim-up rooms
• 10 culinary and entertainment venues
• upgraded recreational offerings including refreshed pools (family and adult), new pickleball and padel courts, and a signature WestinWORKOUT® Fitness Studio
• the Heavenly Spa, featuring separate men’s and women’s lounges and a steam room as well as hydrotherapy, plunge pools, showers and massage jets

The property will also have 17 meeting and event rooms, including two ballrooms. Outdoor event spaces will include the resort’s 410-foot private beach, Las Perogolas (38,713 square feet of lawn and gardens) and the Arrecifes Terrace, which has nearly 32,000 square feet and can accommodate 350 people banquet style.

The oceanfront resort is located on 14 acres near the lively Marina Vallarta, and is just minutes from Licenciado Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport (PVR). Nearby experiences and facilities include whale watching, bird watching tours, Puerta Vallerta’s downtown, Islas Marietas y BBQ on the Beach, Marina Vallarta Golf Club, Vista Vallarta Club de Golf, Extreme Adventure (Wildest Bridge, ATV & Ziplines), and Art Vallarta.
