Aid needed for earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria

Victims of Monday’s 7.8 magnitude earthquake in Turkey and Syria are in urgent need of aid.

On Tuesday, many members of the industry, including The Incentivist, received an email from Hasin Dinç, managing director of ODS Turkey, a SITE Crystal Award-winning destination management company. He reported that fortunately the company’s team and their inner circles were all safe. However, he explained that the earthquake areas were in dire need of aid and support. He wrote:

…this tragic disaster event that we are facing is widespread over ten cities, and severe winter conditions in the region are challenging rescue missions. Despite all, our pain is slightly eased by the fact that our entire Nation is united and selflessly coordinating the necessary aid to the regions….

Dinç recommends in his email that people who would like to show support and contribute to aid campaigns should visit JustGiving.com, an online donation platform for many trusted NGOs. He also shared the link for Turkey Mozaik Foundation Kahramanmaras Earthquake Emergency Relief Fund.

Here in Canada, subscribers might consider donating to the Canadian Red Cross. Yesterday, the Federal Government pledged to match donations to the Canadian Red Cross Earthquake in Türkiye and Syria Appeal up to a maximum of $10 million.
