Meliá Hotels International is bringing its Gran Meliá brand to Port de la Mer, a new luxury destination located in the Jumeirah One Beach area in Dubai, UAE.

Gran Meliá Dubai Jumeirah will be located on one of Port de la Mer’s peninsulas. It will feature 380 luxurious rooms and suites with ocean and city skyline views, direct marina access, event facilities to host up to 1,000 people, a selection of restaurants and bars, and wellness and fitness facilities endorsed by first-class international partners.

Scheduled to open in Q4 2025, Gran Meliá Dubai Jumeirah is the result of the collaboration between Meliá Hotels International and Albwardy Investment LLC. Albwardy Investment is the owner of seven Meliá-managed properties: Gran Meliá Arusha, Meliá Zanzibar, Meliá Collection Serengeti Lodge (Tanzania), the recently opened Meliá Collection Ngorongoro Lodge (Tanzania), Gran Meliá Iguazu (Argentina), the Meliá Collection London Kensington (UK), and the Meliá Collection Desert Palm (Dubai). Meliá and the Albwardy Group are also preparing a future opening in Seychelles, with more properties in the development pipeline.

“The signing of this fantastic hotel gives us a new opportunity to demonstrate our proven excellence in Dubai’s luxury segment,” said Gabriel Escarrer, president and CEO of Meliá Hotels International. “Our Group is firmly committed to this market. Port La Mer – Jumeirah is the perfect place to bring the exclusive interpretation of our iconic Gran Meliá brand’s Mediterranean luxury to a key market like Dubai.”

Gran Meliá Dubai Jumeirah joins two other luxury Meliá properties in Dubai. The Spanish hospitality company entered the market in 2018 with the opening of Meliá Desert Palm Meliá Collection. This exclusive five-star resort is set in the heart of a 64-hectare polo estate. It offers 39 rooms, suites and private villas, four restaurants and bars, a riding school, a spa, a 34.5-metre infinity pool, and nine meeting and event spaces spread across more than 48,550 square feet.

In March 2020, ME Dubai began welcoming guests. Designed by renowned architect Zaha Hadid, this 93-key property is located in the Burj Khalifa district. It has seven restaurants and bars, and more than 5,200 square feet of meeting and event space across five rooms.
