Hilton entering Monaco market

Hilton today announced a franchise agreement with Groupe Bertout to open the Columbus Hotel Monte-Carlo, Curio Collection by Hilton. Marking Hilton’s debut in Monaco, the boutique lifestyle, 181-guestroom hotel is expected to rebrand before the end of the year.

“The Principality of Monaco is an iconic destination, and the Columbus Hotel Monte-Carlo, Curio Collection by Hilton will be an incredible addition to our portfolio marking our first hotel in Monaco,” said Patrick Fitzgibbon, senior vice-president, development, Europe, Middle East and Africa, Hilton. “Having recently opened our first lifestyle hotel on the French Riviera – Canopy by Hilton Cannes and just over a year after opening the Hameau des Pesquiers Ecolodge, Curio Collection by Hilton in Hyeres – we are pleased to grow our portfolio in upscale Mediterranean resorts. The property is nestled in the Marina of Fontvielle, in the most residential area of Monaco, opposite the Princess Grace Rose Garden and a few minutes’ walk from the Stade Louis II stadium. Its guestrooms, most of which have private terraces, offer views of the Princess Grace Rose Garden or the Mediterranean.
