Jenn Glynn, CIS, CITP

“We are proud to be able to continue to recognize the unique talent and remarkable ingenuity of the incentive sector during these difficult times,” says SITE president Jenn Glynn, CIS, CITP. “Now, more than ever, our industry has had to think outside the box and deliver the seemingly impossible. It is an honour to support this industry and to reward those who rise above and beyond.”

Glynn explains that a new category reflecting the challenges created by the COVID-19 pandemic has been added this year, bringing the category total to five. The new category is “Most Creative Solution Deployed at a Time of Crisis.” It will award incentive travel professionals and organizations who have displayed uncommon levels of innovation, creativity and ingenuity in identifying solutions for the continuation of incentive travel in a time of crisis.

The other four categories are:

  • Best Destination Based Experiential Incentive Travel Program
  • Excellence in Incentive Travel (Africa/Middle East, Asia Pacific, Europe, North America, Latin America/Caribbean)
  • Most Effective Incentive Marketing Campaign
  • Most Impactful Effort Toward Corporate Social Responsibility as Part of an Incentive Program OR Most Environmentally Sustainable Incentive Experience

Ellie MacPherson, CITP

“The travel industry is undoubtedly one of the sectors most drastically affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. However, it is also one of the most resilient,” says Ellie MacPherson, CITP, senior vice-president, Canada Operations, Creative Group and Chair of SITE’s Crystal Awards Committee. “By recognizing the brilliance of incentive industry professionals both in the good times as well as in the face of adversity, the SITE Crystal Awards offer a joyful, energizing reminder of ‘Yes, we can’. The show must go on, and these awards serve to acknowledge the extraordinary programs, as well as to act as a beacon of inspiration for those who are struggling under current conditions.”
