AC Hotel by Marriott St. Julian’s has opened, marking the lifestyle brand’s arrival in Malta.
Italy’s Fabris & Partners led the design of the property, which has 106 rooms furnished with plush bedding, Nespresso coffee machines and an ergonomic workspace.
Inspired by the natural and urban environments surrounding the hotel, the design and architecture firm used a neutral, calming color palette and natural materials in the public spaces and guestrooms.
In keeping with Malta’s renowned food scene, the property also features an AC Lounge® on the rooftop terrace. There guests can enjoy signature cocktails and European-style tapas along with views of St. Julian’s skyline.
Other facilities include a heated outdoor rooftop pool, an indoor pool, a 570-square-foot meeting space with seating for up to 40 people, and a gym featuring state-of-the-art Matrix equipment.
“We are delighted to be bringing AC Hotels’ design-driven guest experience to Malta. The hotel marks Marriott Bonvoy’s third property in this vibrant Mediterranean island destination,” said Matthew Boettcher, vice-president and global brand leader, Distinctive Select Brands.
The Mediterranean island archipelago of Malta offers more than 300 days of sunshine and warm temperatures throughout much of the year. It is also home to a beautiful coastline and 7,000 years of history and ancient landmarks.
AC Hotel by Marriott St. Julian’s is situated 11 kilometers from Malta International Airport.
Marriott’s AC Hotels brand includes more than 225 properties in 31 countries and territories. Each of the brand’s properties features purposefully designed signature spaces, most notably, the AC Lounge® and AC Kitchen.
